Women gathered for South Africa.

Our Story

At traffic lights across South Africa, men and women stand holding handwritten notes on paper. They are asking for work, at minimum wage, to feed their families.

My Natuur began with that image, and with Chére, a mother of two who knew she could not change it alone. Not in a way that lasts.

In 2025 she met Sharné, a woman who carries the same conviction about job creation in South Africa. The vision took root in Chére’s heart; Sharné took it up as her own and has helped carry it ever since.

Together, they are gathering thirty Christian women of influence and generosity. As founding members, these women will build the Society alongside them. As its council, they will shape how it grows, which initiatives it takes on and how they are carried out, on behalf of every woman who joins after them.

Some steward a business today. Some carry one in their hearts. Together they can make better decisions in their own spheres of influence, decisions that strengthen South Africa’s economy and create work.

The vision includes reviving South Africa’s textile industry, an industry the country has watched disappear. South Africa has the land and the people.

What it needs are women who believe this is possible, and who will partner with one another to see it done.
